You may/may not remember that Dan and I (my husband and myself) with the help of a few friends put together rolling suitcases filled with goodness and gave them to the homeless for a Christmas Campaign.

It was such a success that we decided to open the doors to other businesses so that you too, can have a chance to bless your community.

What can you do to help?  GLAD YOU ASKED :)

1. Of course, FIRST and foremost come to our Networking Business Bash on Jan. 23rd.  Enjoy the afternoon, there will be lots to see and many people to meet.  BRING A TON OF BUSINESS CARDS. 

We also would love it if you would commit to getting this information out to at least 5 business people and having them sign up for the directory as a referral from you.  TRULY, we would be so honored if you would.

2. You can DONATE a small portion of your advertising dollars to the Hampers For the Homeless, Heart For The Homeless Campaign.  GET YOUR ADVERTISEMENT in our Businesses With Heart Directory!  VERY affordable and effective advertising!  ($25.00-$275 depending on what size of advertisement you are looking for). * You will get a business receipt that you can use as an expense.

3. You can DONATE your time/gifts/talents/products and/or services to the event and prior to the event.  This will make our give away packages even better and more exciting.  We could always use a helping hand.  Let me give you some examples of what we could use right now.

• People to donate time to making calls to the various media in the area.  We would need someone to send a press release, then follow up with people at A-Channel, Calgary Herald, Calgary Sun, Shaw, Global and more.  EVERY media contact IS a good contact.  We would appreciate someone compiling the list and contact person.  We will fax/email the press release from here.  Then the same person to follow up and set up interviews for me, and perhaps some of my great contacts to come with me... to share what we are doing.  We will have a press kit available to send to the media when they ask for it.
• Business products/services: to donate to our gift baskets, give-aways, silent auction (Must be worth more than $100.00 to be placed in the silent auction-no coupons or discounts on services), and more.
• People  to volunteer to be the Business Matchmaker- Greeting new entrepreneurs as they come to the event, finding out who they are and what they do... then introducing them to someone in the crowd you have already met.  Get them going and meeting new people.  FUN!
• People  to volunteer to place this event on face book, meetup groups (we will be doing this for Doing Business God's Way), Twitter and any other social media events.
• People  to volunteer to bring this information to their groups of Entrepreneurial friends and promote the event.
• People to make calls to individuals and business people to donate their old rolling (mini) suitcases, in good condition so we can fill them for Feb. 14th.
• People to take the time to help assemble the suitcases and pack them .
• People  to make cold calls to certain businesses in Calgary to ask about Sponsorship spots (see the following entries) to the event.
• We need SPONSORS:   the following types of companies would be appreciated.  Please see the info package to see what Special Sponsors get in return. 
  - U-Haul Truck(s) to pick up, haul and unload the suitcases.... Tim Horton's to donate $5 gift cards for every suitcase... Office Supply store to supply gifts for door prizes and/or gift packages.... Travel company to donate free packages.... Hotels to donate weekend for two... etc. etc.  Your imagination is the boundaries.
